SHOULD DHONI QUIT ?

This is the question raised among Indian Cricket Lovers of late. This is more so in Test format. Reason for this is the the set back the team had after the World Cup Success. India badly lost the away series against England and Australia and home series against England. There is no doubt that India had really bad time in Test Cricket. But should the Captain only be blamed for the failure of the team?
Before arriving at a decision it will be better to put light on some of the developments in the team.
First about the batsmen in the team. Batting has been the key to Indian success. Take the case of Tendulkar. The little master had very bad couple of years. He has never been in such bad patch during his career.Laxman was very upsetting during this term and he was forced to retire. Same was the case of Indian wall Rahul Dravid.Gautham Gambhir was dropped from the team for his poor show.Sehwag was not at all at his best.Virat too was not upto his expectations. How can a captain compensate for such an amazing failure? Then about bowling Indian front line bowlers Zaheer Khan and Harbajan has gone out of the team for poor form.Sreesanth was injured, so was the case of Ishant Sharma.Because of these unexpected set back Dhoni has to look for other options.
Of course he got Cheteswar Poojara & Ashwin but they are still fresh and could not make much impact. Further lucky captain turned unlucky in couple of crucial toss. You will be surprised to find that almost twelve players injured during England tour.
Captaincy has come under severe criticism. They have started to point at the batting techniques of Dhoni.Of course Dhoni is not a batsman with exceptional batting techniques .But he  is a utility player who has an incredible ability to adapt to different situations. I should say that unlike former Indian Captains captaincy has not affected his batting. He is still useful down the order with a good strike rate and a decent average around forty four.He is undoubtedly not the best wicket keeper in India. But he has improved his techniques and has been doing well behind the wicket. He is captain cool ,pressure cooker situations wont distract him. He has his own way of thinking ,most of the occasions he implement his plans successfully. He has always encouraged talented players. But his choice Rohit and Peyoosh yet to rise their standards upto the expectations of the captain. His body language is that of a leader, who will lead from the front. He is the fittest person in Indian team. His briefings in the press conference and ceremonies is devoid of any issues and he sounds loud and clear. You can point out him to any youngster as a roll model of a leader.Ofcourse he has not yet landed in any controversy outside the cricketing field. He hails from a state which do not have any cricketing heritage ,but he lifted himself to such a heights that even the different lobbies could not move a finger on him.
Yes let us arrive at a decision…………Dhoni should continue as a captain of One day side because India is still number one in the world.Ofcourse…….Virat can be given the charge of Twenty Twenty format. Yes what about test match ? Should Dhoni quit ? If yes then who is the substitute? Gambhir he is not at all in the team for his poor show. Then Virat…….. please don’t pluck the buds so early. Let Virat flourish as a great Indian batsman. It is still early.Let him blossom.Since there is not a substitute , and Indian test team is going through a period of rebuilding Dhoni should continue as Captain of the Indian test squad.
