Team India Down to Earth

This is not for the first time team India get a bad defeat immediately after the World Cup win. After the 1983 world cup win there was a summer all the Indian fan like to forget .West Indies swiped the 5 match one day series and the Test match was one sided.Mohinder Amaranth the hero of the world cup and man of the match in the Semi and Finals, lost his place in the team because of the unbelievable bad form. He was out for zero in 5 innings out of six test innings he played and in the sixth innings he scored one run. There almost all the heroes lost their place in the national squad. The last series against England was almost similar to that one. We may say that defeat was due to bad weather, injuries to key players and lack of proper planning. One can’t take credit from the Englishmen who were in top form throughout the series. Especially Stuert Board was in tremendous form. In the Test series only difference between the two teams was the presence of this genuine all rounder. He made up for his blemish of being hit for 6 sixes in an over by Yuvaraj in the T –Twenty world cup. Ten Indian players injured and returned to the den. Unlike in the Test Series India put up a spirited performance in one dayers amidst unfortunate happenings. India had to face difficult period of the day batting, and on most of the occasion India lost the toss. In the first two test matches India had the Englishmen in trouble but somehow lost the hold on the match.Sehwag the key for Indian Batting Gambhir a reliable partner was also not fit. World cup hero Yuvi was not available. Undoubtedly No 1 bowler Zahir was not available so as Bajji.Truely Dhoni had a much difficult time managing all these difficulties But he lead from the front in the One day series.And his act of decency allowing Ian Bell to continue to bat when he was declared out by the Umpire was admired by one and all.Deck Wert Luis method was also stood on the way. Actually I feel very bad when team India loss a match. Here I had least worry because so many things were working against team India. Above all Sachin was also failed deliver a match saving innings. This doesn’t tarnish the glory of the 2011 world Cup win .Let us hope that India will come back strongly under Dhoni.This series will be remembered for the consistent performance by Rahul Dravid.’’Yes the true wall of world cricket will not be available for one day matches’’ .
The management should think seriously about the fitness of the players. Once they are playing for the nation, they are the wealth of the nation and their talent should be preserved for the benefit of the nation even by imposing some restrictions in their personal life.
